The Southern Indiana R/C Modelers club is dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of building and flying radio controlled model aircraft. All facets of R/C aircraft are enjoyed, including sailplanes, scale, racing, IMAC, and fun flying.
The club meets monthly, on the third Tuesday of each month, at 7:30 PM. SIR/CM meets at the Clarksville Town Hall on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville, Indiana. Guests and new members are always welcome.

About SIRCM
Who We Are
The Story Behind SIRCM
The Southern Indiana R/C Modelers was started in 1969 by five R/C flyers: Ron Howard, Jesse Wolford, Joe Ballou, Dale Arvin & Les Burdsel, from the Parkwood area of Clarksville, Indiana. Our first flying site was behind Parkwood School. We have had flying sites at Parkwood School, on Charlestown Pike (where Interstate 265 now crosses), in a field just east of the old Happ's airport, on Highway 403 just south of Sellersburg, at Fowler Field off Highway 111, at a field off Old River Road off Highway 111, and our current field at Stumler’s Orchard.
We have had just about as many meeting sites. Our current site, in the Clarksville Town Hall, is the best. SIR/CM hosts the Mint Julep Scale Meet each year at Rough River Dam State Resort Park in McDaniels, Kentucky. This R/C scale model meet is one of the largest all scale R/C contests in the country, drawing 65-70 entries and over 3,500 spectators each year!
